Please review the Pegasus Associates Lighting Forum rules below before posting. These rules are to ensure that our Forum is kept respectful, pleasant, enjoyable, and most of all, that the Pegasus Associates Lighting Forum provides a learning experience in lighting.
Members that do not abide by the below rules may be subject to having their posts edited or deleted, and/or their member account permanently banned from further access, and/or their member account deleted without notice.
These rules may change, so please revisit this rules topic from time to time. Forum rules last updated April 27, 2010.
1. Be Respectful & Family Friendly. No use of explicit, obscene, vulgar language or images, and no overtly religious or political postings. We do offer a general Lounge forum for topics that are not directly related to lighting, however, the Lounge is not intended to provide an area to debate political or religious beliefs. Please respect other members of our community and don't make fun of or insult another member. In addition, if something is not considered "work safe" (to a boss or co-worker) or if it should not be viewed by a minor then it should not be posted. Please report posts that do not follow this rule to the Administrator or a Moderator. Most importantly, welcome new members to the Pegasus Associates Lighting Forum. As more members join, this Forum becomes more and more useful to the community.
2. Do Not SPAM or Advertise. Advertising or SPAM is defined as posting a link for the purpose of selling, soliciting, or promoting by someone that has an ownership or other "vested interest" to the web site or business involved, including efforts to promote other online forums, web sites by web site owners, or other businesses. Links to helpful web sites, and information about helpful businesses, are allowed when they are posted by someone WITHOUT any "vested interest" and whose purpose is NOT to solicit, advertise, promote, fund raise, etc. Posts that are determined to fit within this category will be deleted and the member account may be permanently banned from further access and/or have their member account deleted without notice. If you are a lighting professional, this Forum is intended to allow a place for you to provide advice to a specific question or discussion, just not explicit advertising of your services.
3. No Multiple Usernames. Please register and use only one username for the forums.
4. No SHOUTING. Using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts in considered yelling and rude and it makes the post difficult to read. Please remember to be respectful.
5. Do Not Post Contact Information. This is to protect your privacy and security. To communicate with other Forum members you may email them or private message them within the Forum itself as long as that member's profile allows this type of communication. If you do not want other members to email or private message you please update your Username settings in the User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit Global Settings. In addition, do not post contact information about other people.
6. Post Your Topic Once. If an Administrator or Moderator determines that the posting is in the wrong location, it will be moved to the appropriate one. Duplicate posts only create confusion.
7. Signature Rules. A signature may contain the member's name and/or company name, website address, and maybe a favorite quote or saying. Anchor text links in your signature pointing back to your website or any other website are not allowed. Please do not use excessive font sizes.
8. No Multiple Accounts per Member. If you forget your password, you may use the password recovery tool to reset your password. You must have access to the email address used when first creating the account. If you are still not able to login please contact the Administrator.
9. Join the Discussion. Most importantly, join the discussion; share your knowledge, your thoughts, and your ideas. This will ensure that the Pegasus Associates Lighting Forum is a learning experience in lighting. However, before starting a new topic, check to see if there is already a topic open on the same subject.
10. Moderators and Administrator Have the Final Word. If you have a problem or complaint, direct it to the Administrator and/or Moderators. The appropriate actions will be taken.
